Chapter Three: Forgiveness

Bing Tong's eyes were filled with heartache. 'Why?' she thought, watching them leave. Tears streamed down her face. She remembered Wei Yi saying he would only love her, that he would wait for her to return. But why? Why did everyone deceive her? Bing Tong wiped away her tears and walked towards the classroom.

Entering the classroom, she saw that the teacher had indeed placed a new desk for her. Bing Tong went straight to her seat, took out her textbook, and began to read. Suddenly, with a 'thud,' the classroom door was kicked open, drawing everyone's attention. Bing Tong also looked towards the door, where four boys and two girls stood. The teacher stepped down from the podium and greeted them one by one: "Young Master Yu, Young Master Yun, Young Master Yu, Young Master Yi, Miss Xuan, Miss Xi'er, hello." These young men were quite famous in the school, as four of them were heirs of four prominent families. Who would dare offend them! (Author: Wow! Isn't she tired?)
However, they completely ignored the teacher and went straight to their seats, which happened to be right around Bing Tong's. Qian Xin Yong Yu, sitting in his seat, was the first to see Bing Tong wearing a hat and greeted her warmly: "Hello, classmate, you must be today's new student! My name is Qian Xin Yong Yu, and these are Yu Mo Zi Yu, Ling Ye You Yun, and Min Shan Ci Xuan. We are from the four major families. The other two are Wei Yi, the young master of the Wei family, and Mo Xi Er, the young lady of the Mo family. May I ask your name? Can we be friends?" Hearing Yong Yu speak to the new student, the people around him all looked up at him, because they knew that Yong Yu rarely took the initiative to greet people. Yongyu greeted Bingtong simply because he felt the girl looked familiar. Bingtong took out a piece of paper and wrote her name on it. Yongyu took the paper and remained silent, sitting quietly in his seat. He couldn't help but think of his sister; he hadn't seen her in so long, so long that he had lost track of time. Yongyu gave a bitter smile. Seeing him like this, the people around him knew he was thinking of his sister again, and no one spoke, all quietly slumped over their desks.
Bingtong looked at Yongyu's sorrowful expression and felt a pang of pain in her heart: "I'm sorry, brother, forgive me for not being able to acknowledge you." Bingtong turned her head to look at the sky outside. The others, feeling bored, slumped over their desks and drifted off to sleep. The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and everyone groggily opened their eyes.
