Chapter Six: Memories (Part One)

"Well, we don't even know if she's friend or foe yet, so everyone needs to be careful when contacting her, understand?" Wei Yi said to everyone. Everyone nodded. "Alright, everyone go back and rest!" Zi Yu said. Then everyone went back to their own homes.

At this moment, Bing Tong was sitting in the car, holding a laptop and typing on the keyboard. She had just sent the email. She had already guessed that those people would definitely investigate her identity, but she was worried that their lives would be in danger if they continued to investigate, so she had no choice but to send that email. However, Bing Tong's identity was indeed extraordinary, and in the end, they would only face death. She did this for their own good.
Suddenly, she heard the driver say, "Your Highness, because of your sudden departure, your father and your friends are very worried. More importantly, His Highness Xiao is furious about your departure and has sent a large number of people to search for your whereabouts. Do you want to tell them your whereabouts?" The driver's tone was full of fear. But Bing Tong was focused on playing with the computer and ignored the driver's words at all. The driver had no choice but to continue driving, knowing that His Highness had heard him. Bing Tong appeared to be playing on the computer, but was actually listening to the driver's report. When she heard His Highness Xiao's outburst of anger, a deep sadness lingered on her face. She turned to look out the window.
A short while later, the car entered a wide road. A sign on either side read: "Private Road, Trespassers Will Die." After a short distance, a group of men in black stood on both sides of the road. Upon seeing the car, they all knelt on one knee. Under everyone's watchful eyes, the car drove towards a castle. The car slowly came to a stop, and the people standing beside it carefully helped Bing Tong out. Approaching the castle, she realized just how enormous it was. Bing Tong stood at the castle gate, and the people on either side opened the gate for her. Perhaps due to its weight, the fine mahogany gate creaked loudly. A beam of light poured out from the crack in the door, making it feel like stepping into another world—
a world belonging to Bing Tong. Bing Tong slowly entered the castle, and looking at the furnishings, she couldn't help but think of the past, those happy times. Sigh! Bing Tong shook her head and stepped onto the stairs leading into the castle.
Inside, the furnishings and the craftsmanship of the door frames and pillars were exquisite; even the unassuming walls seemed brand new. The crystal chandelier hanging above the hall was particularly breathtaking. Although the entire castle was luxurious, it didn't feel tedious; instead, it inspired awe.
Bing Tong walked gracefully through the castle, her footsteps echoing in the spacious corridors, lingering for a long time. After traversing corridor after corridor and climbing step after step, she finally reached her destination. The entire castle seemed like a maze; if you just kept walking, it seemed endless. Without a guide, you could walk for a lifetime and still never find your way out.
Bing Tong stopped in front of a large door. The people standing on either side bowed slightly in respect before opening the door for her. Bing Tong glanced at the steps above and then went inside. Indeed, Bing Tong didn't reach the top floor. The top floor was a mystery to everyone, an unreachable place. Except, of course, 'them'.
