"Ying'er... Ying'er," Youyun called out worriedly, but Yinglin didn't respond. He quickly picked her up and ran towards the infirmary. The others exchanged glances and followed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Outside the window, all was quiet. Pedestrians went about their business.
"Someone come here!" Kui rushed into the castle carrying Bingtong, ordering the servants what they needed as he ran.
"Alright, you all stand here. Just give me the things." After carrying Bingtong to the fourth floor, Kui turned to the servants behind him and said. "Yes, Master Kui." Everyone nodded and stepped back, bowing their heads.
Kui glanced at them and continued upstairs with Bingtong in his arms. When they reached the sixth floor where Bingtong lived, the men in black standing on either side called out, "Master Kui," and opened the door to the sixth floor for them. Kui nodded and went inside. The gate closed immediately.
The reason Kui had the servants wait on the fourth floor was because there was a rule in the castle: everyone lived in different places according to their status, and naturally, their places of residence also differed. As mentioned before, no one was allowed to go above the fourth floor without Bing Tong's order. Kui was allowed up there because of his extraordinary status.
After entering the sixth floor, Kui carried Bing Tong directly to the opposite room, opened the door, and carefully placed Bing Tong on the bed. Then he turned and left.
Not long after, Kui returned with a bowl of soup. He slowly walked to the bedside and sat down, then gently shook Bing Tong, who was lying on the bed. Bing Tong slowly opened her eyes, using all her strength to sit up. Her face was frighteningly pale. She glanced at Kui, then took the bowl of soup from him and drank it. Only then did her complexion slowly improve.
This soup was actually made with many medicinal herbs, the most important of which was snow lotus from Tianshan Mountain. Bing Tong drank it every day because her health had been poor since childhood, and she needed this to nourish herself. The reason she was so ill this time was because she had lost her temper, causing her blood and qi to attack her heart, which led to her vomiting blood.
Kui, watching Bing Tong gradually recover, asked, "Princess, are you feeling better?" "Yes, I'm fine, don't worry. Don't tell Xiao what happened today." Bing Tong's voice sounded weak. "I'm sorry, Princess, His Highness Xiao already knows." Kui suddenly stood up and knelt on one knee before Bing Tong.
Seeing him like this, Bing Tong's face remained calm, as if she had known all along. Actually, that was to be expected; how could she not know that Xiao had secretly sent people to protect her?
Bing Tong didn't blame him, only saying calmly, "Kui, get up! It's alright." Kui stood up after hearing her words and looked at her. Bing Tong smiled at him, then took her phone and dialed a number.
"Bing'er, how are you?" A shout came from the other end as soon as the call connected.
"I'm fine. Don't worry," Bing Tong smiled and said.
"How could you be alright? I'm coming to pick you up right now."
"No, don't come. No one should come during this time." Bing Tong said in a panic upon hearing this.
Perhaps sensing the panic in Bing Tong's voice, the person on the other end chuckled and said, "Alright, Bing'er, then let Kui stay by your side!"
"Okay. I promise you. That's it!" Bing Tong knew that this was the absolute limit for Xiao, so she hurriedly hung up the phone after saying this.
The person on the other end smiled wryly after seeing that the call had been disconnected, and then said to the people around them, "Don't worry, Bing'er is fine." After saying this, they left.
"Ying'er... Ying'er, you're finally awake." You Yun rushed to the bedside in the infirmary and looked at Ying Lin on the bed. "How long have I been asleep?" Ying Lin asked, her thin lips slightly parted. But her voice was inevitably a little hoarse. Seeing her like this, Youyun quickly poured her a glass of water, watching her drink as he said, "You've slept for six hours." "Really?" Yinglin's tone was surprisingly calm, which made everyone around her very worried.
