Chapter 100 The Peace of Returning Home

Guided by her subordinates, Bing Tong sat in the middle of the Lincoln limousine. Then someone ordered, "To the palace." The car slowly started moving, and Bing Tong's thoughts drifted far away.

The car soon arrived at the British capital. The British capital is much like the imperial palace in China—magnificent, grand, and incredibly luxurious.
At the entrance of a palace stood an old man. The old man's expression was somewhat serious; this serious old man was Bing Tong's grandfather—William Perria. Around him stood rows of attendants. Undoubtedly, they were waiting for their beloved little princess.
Sitting in the car, Bing Tong looked at the people in front of her and smiled helplessly. She was just returning home; was such a grand spectacle necessary?
The car slowly came to a stop, and an attendant walked to the front, opened the door, and helped Bing Tong slowly out. The instant Bing Tong's feet touched the ground, everyone knelt on one knee and shouted, "Welcome back, Princess!"
Bing Tong nodded, then waved her hand, signaling everyone to stand up. She then walked gracefully to the old man and smiled, saying, "Grandpa, I'm back." William Pei Lia smiled and took Bing Tong's hand, saying, "It's good you're back." The two chatted and laughed as they entered the palace.

  [Side Hall]
The spacious side hall was also brightly lit, with various snacks, fruits, and fine wines laid out on the coffee table. Bing Tong and William Pei Lia were sitting on the sofa.
"Bing'er, how have you been in China?" William Pei Lia looked at his granddaughter with affection.
"Grandpa, I'm doing very well," Bing Tong said obediently.
Hearing Bing Tong's words, William Pei Lia's brows furrowed slightly. He wasn't unaware of Bing Tong's experiences in China, but he hadn't expected her to say it this way. Bing Tong, of course, knew he was asking on purpose, saying this only to reassure him.
“By the way, Grandpa, where’s Xiao?” Seeing William-Philia’s unhappiness, Bing Tong had to find a topic to talk about. “Oh, him! He’s sulking in his palace!” Sure enough, William-Philia said with a smile when he heard Bing Tong’s question.
“Sulking about what?” Bing Tong asked deliberately. “Bing’er, don’t you know?” William-Philia smiled wickedly. He meant, “Don’t you know?” Bing Tong didn’t say anything more when she saw his expression. After a while, Bing Tong asked again, “Where’s Father?” “He’s doing some things.” William-Philia’s answer seemed somewhat downcast.
Bing Tong didn’t speak either, just sat there with him. 'What exactly did Father go to do?' Just as Bing Tong was thinking about this, William-Philia suddenly said to her, “Bing’er, you must be tired after such a long flight, go and rest for a while!” “Okay!” Bing Tong said. She was indeed very tired.
Bing Tong slowly walked to her palace, and the person guarding the door called out, “Your Highness.” Bing Tong nodded and then went inside. Entering her palace, she could feel a chill. Looking around, all that could be seen was pure white. The entire palace was white.
In fact, there was an unwritten rule in the royal family: apart from Bing Tong and Xiao, no one else was allowed to wear white or black.
Bing Tong walked to a room, opened the door, went inside, and then closed it. Five seconds later, looking inside, one could see a stunningly beautiful woman lying on a large bed. Bing Tong lay quietly on the bed, her eyes closed, her clothes unchanged. She was clearly exhausted. And indeed, she had barely rested during this time because of Ying Lin's affairs.
Just as Bing Tong was fast asleep, the door suddenly opened. A man entered, dressed in the robes of a prince, embroidered with exquisite patterns.
The man smiled at the woman on the bed, then walked lightly to her side. Sensing someone beside her, Bing Tong slowly opened her eyes and saw someone sitting beside her bed. After recognizing who it was, Bing Tong smiled sweetly, then reached out and pulled the person down to lie down beside her. The man smiled and then closed his eyes. Seeing him close his eyes, Bing Tong also closed hers. The two of them fell asleep in each other's arms.
