Chapter 59 Guilt

Seeing the sadness in Yinglin's eyes, Bingtong knew Yinglin was blaming herself again for not protecting herself. She forced a smile and said, "Ying'er, have you forgotten who I am? I'll be alright. Come on, I'll tell you what to do, and you can treat my wound."

"Okay!" Yinglin said, looking at her. Actually, Bingtong was the world's top genius doctor—Ailly. None of her patients died. However, very few could hire her, and very few had even seen her; her information and medical skills remained a mystery to the world.
Yinglin agreed because of Bingtong's identity.
Following Bingtong's instructions, Yinglin quickly removed the bullet. Because Bingtong insisted on not using anesthesia, her arm had bled profusely, and her face was extremely pale. Yinglin put down her tools and looked at her, saying, "Bing'er, how are you?" Bingtong bit her lip and shook her head. Seeing her like that, Yinglin didn't say anything more. She lowered her head and took out medicine and gauze from the first-aid kit to treat Bingtong's wound. However, in the instant Yinglin lowered her head, Bingtong saw the tears hidden in her eyes.
Bingtong fell silent, looking down as Yinglin carefully treated her wound.
Soon, Yinglin finished bandaging Bingtong's arm. After tidying up everything around her, she walked to Bingtong. Suddenly, she knelt down. Seeing this, Bingtong quickly stood up and said, "Ying'er, what are you doing?" "Bing'er, I'm sorry. I didn't protect you well. Punish me!" Yinglin said, her head bowed.
"Ying'er, it's not your fault. Don't always take all the blame upon yourself," Bingtong said, walking to her side and bending down to help her up, but Yinglin wouldn't stand up. She continued, "Bing'er, don't say anymore, it's all my fault. Father sent me here to protect you, but I've hurt you time and time again. It's all my fault." "No, it's not your fault. Get up quickly, or I'll have your father take you back." Seeing Yinglin still kneeling on the ground, Bingtong had no choice but to say these words.
"Bing'er." Hearing Bingtong's words, Yinglin looked up at Bingtong with teary eyes. Bingtong slowly squatted down and gently said to her, "Good girl, don't cry anymore, get up!" Then she slowly stood up with Yinglin. "Ying'er, don't take all the blame on yourself in the future, I won't blame you." Bingtong took the handkerchief from the maid and gently wiped Yinglin's tears. "Yes, I know." Yinglin looked at her and nodded slightly.
Seeing that Yinglin had finally stopped crying, Bingtong walked past her to the door. Those standing outside the door knelt down upon seeing Bing Tong emerge, saying, "Miss." Bing Tong looked at them and said, "No one is to speak of what happened today. Don't tell anyone. Remember, I said 'anyone.' Do you understand?" "Understood," everyone answered in unison. Then Bing Tong waved and entered the castle.
Inside, she saw Ying Lin still standing there. Bing Tong walked up to her and said, "Ying'er, go and rest early! It's getting late, we have to go to school tomorrow!" "Bing'er, you're injured. Maybe you shouldn't go to school tomorrow," Ying Lin said hurriedly upon hearing Bing Tong's suggestion. "It's alright," Bing Tong turned back and gave her a reassuring smile before walking to the stairs. Immediately, someone came and helped her upstairs.
Seeing her like this, Ying Lin felt even more guilty. But she didn't know what to do. Then, she walked upstairs, exhausted.
